THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, August 29, 1929

B. L. Fuquay, pioneer resident of Flagler Beach, succumbed to an attack of heart trouble early Monday morning at his home on Daytona Avenue. Mr. Fuquay was apparently in usual good health and had spent Sunday with his little daughter Bessie, and his sudden death was a shock to his relatives and friends in Flagler and Volusia counties.

Many friends attended the last rites at the Baggett and Wetherby Funeral Parlors in Daytona Beach and the beautiful floral offerings showed the esteem in which the deceased was held.

The burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The deceased was fifty-three years old and is survived by his mother, Mrs. M. E. Fuquay, a son, Wesley of Ormond, a daughter, Bessie, a sister, Mrs. Ida Upson of Flagler Beach and two brothers, D. F. of Flagler Beach and A. C. of Daytona Beach.
