D. L. Gage, 72-year-old citizen of Flagler County died at his home north of Flagler Beach Tuesday morning at 4 o'clock after an illness lasting several months.

Mr. Gage came to Flagler County about 12 years ago from Volusia County where he had resided for a number of years, establishing his home on a tract of the rich muck land bordering the Florida Coastal Canal. Later he entered the dairy business and at the time of his death the dairy was rated as one of the best in this county.

Surviving the deceased are his widow; four daughters, Mrs. C. L. Hoppe of Blue Mound, Ill.; Emily of Jacksonville; Flora and Dorothy, and one son, Lyman, who reside at their home here.

The body was prepared for burial by Baggett-Wetherby and where the funeral was held this afternoon. Burial was made in the Ormond Beach Cemetery, with Revs. McConnell and Lyon in charge of the services.
