Lyman L. Gage, 72, died last Wednesday afternoon in Eufaulu, Alabama, while en route home from Illinois. He was a charter member and immediate past president of Flagler County Kiwanis Club.

He was born in Blue Mound, Illinois and moved from there to Flagler County sixty years ago with his family. His family were early settlers of the coastal section of Northeast Flagler County. He was past president of Flagler Cattlemen’s Association and an honorary director of Florida Cattlemen's Association. He served a number of years on the East Flagler Mosquito Control District and was chairman of the board. He was a member of Flagler Chamber of Commerce, a director of Flagler Farm Bureau and had been active in Flagler County Boy Scouts and 4-HClubs.

He was a member of United Methodist Church of Flagler Beach where he had served as a trustee, member of the official board, president of The Brotherhood and a member of the church choir.

Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church of Flagler Beach on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 with Reverend Reynold Hoover and Reverend William Peterson officiating. Masonic graveside service was held at Hillside Cemetery at Ormond Beach.

Pallbearers were Harold Emery, William Givens, Don Jordan, Otis Magee, Alfred Tucker, Raymond Tucker and George Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Gage, Flagler Beach; and two sisters, Miss Flora Gage and Miss Emily Gage, Ormond Beach.
