William Goldenberg, president of the Buick Motor Company, Daytona Beach, and well known to residents of Bunnell, was killed instantly Tuesday night about 8 o'clock five miles south of Bunnell on the Dixie Highway, when his automobile skidded from the highway, crashed into a telephone pole, snapping the pole off 10 feet above the ground.

Barney Trojan, resident of Korona, came to Bunnell and notified officers after inspecting the wreck. It was said that Paul Slaughter of Holly Hill saw the car leave the highway, Goldenberg having passed Slaughter's truck only a few minutes before the crash. Slaughter and Trojan were the first persons to visit the scene of the accident, they reporting that Goldenberg was dead when they arrived on the scene.

According to reports Goldenberg was returning home from a business conference in Jacksonville when the accident occurred. He had been in business in Daytona Beach for many years, and had many friends in Flagler County.
