A 13-year-old Flagler County youth was shot to death Friday afternoon at the trailer home of a playmate south of Marineland, apparently while the youths were playing with shotguns, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Dept.

Martin Luther Green, Jr., North AlA Hwy. was dead on arrival at Bunnell General Hospital about 2:00 p. m. Friday. He had been shot one time in the left side with a shotgun, according to Sheriff P. A. Edmonson.

The shooting apparently occurred while young Green and a friend, Billy Dunson, 14, were playing in the Dunson home near Marineland. Both youths reportedly were playing with shotguns when one of them, a 12 gauge went off, wounding the Green boy, Edmonson said.

An autopsy has been ordered and investigation of the shooting is continuing.

Young Green is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Luther Green; three sisters, Janie, Tracy, and Mrs. Christy Jarosz; and two brothers, Thomas and Charles.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Bessemer, Ala.
