THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, January 25, 1951

The badly cut to pieces man found on the Florida East Coast Railroad tracks near Dorena, a few miles north of Bunnell, last Friday, has been identified, the sheriff's office here said today.

He was Steven Hagen, born in Romhan, Hungary in 1885. His identity was established through fingerprints on file with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington. The FBI report to Sheriff W. H. Wells said Hagen had once been arrested as an enemy alien in 1940 and the record showed his nearest relative to have been M. Markowitz in New York City.

The body was found by R. P. McGee, signalman for the railroad, who notified the sheriff's office. It is not positively known but it is supposed that the man was riding illegally between cars of some train and fell under the wheels.

The body was placed in charge of Garcia Funeral Home, of St. Augustine, and attempts are being made to contact any relatives of the dead man.
