Porter P. Higginbotham, 76, Lake Worth, Fla., former Flagler County resident, died Thursday, July 10 at an O­lando hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Lake City, Fla. and moved to Lake Worth 32 years ago from Bunnell. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marie Parks, Orlando; four sons, Clifford Higginbotham and Harold Higginbotham, both of Bunnell; J. S. Higginbotham and Gilbert Higginbotham, both of Lake Worth; a sister, Mrs. A. B. Barnes, South Bay, Fla.; two brothers, Samuel Higginbotham, Island Grove, Fla., and Wade Higginbotham, Miami; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Espanola Cemetery. The Rev. Lamar Lingold, pastor Bunnell Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated.

Pallbearers were Buddy Knox, Roscoe Lynn, Miller Teters, Dick Cody, J. W. Medders and Milton Pellicer.
