THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, August 26, 1948

Peter F. Hudson, a resident of Flagler Beach in the early days of the town, died at his home in Louisville, Georgia last Saturday morning.

Mr. Hudson once owned a lumberyard in Bunnell before coming to Flagler Beach in 1925 where he built a home and lived and enjoyed the social life during the boom days. In 1942 Mr. and Mrs. Hudson celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in Louisville at the plantation that had been the home of the Hudson’s for the past 10 years.

Beside the widow, Leila Weddon Hudson, surviving are Harry Hudson of Tampa; Mrs. W. S. Saulding of Louisville; Mrs. Ralph Tavel of Palatka, and Lamar Hudson of Mobile, Ala.

Mr. Hudson was born in Jefferson County in the town named Hudsonia after his ancestors. The family home is still one of the show places of that section of Georgia.

Burial was in the ancestral Providence Church, five miles from Hudsonia.
