Bruce E. Johnson, North Railroad St., passed away last Friday night in the Flagler Clinic and Hospital of Bunnell following a short illness.

He was a native of Sweden and came to the United States in 1900. He moved to St. Johns County from Chicago in 1950. He came to Bunnell in 1955, residing with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cook. He was 78 years of age. He was a maintenance man for the Lake Shore Trust & Savings Bank in Chicago for 30 years before his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, May, of Bunnell; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Cook of Bunnell, and Mrs. Fred Lange of St. Augustine; two sisters. Mrs. Marie Johnson, Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. Olga Pearson, Lake Villa, Ill.; a brother, Emil Johnson of Chicago. Ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the chapel of Craig Funeral Home of Bunnell. Rev. W. L. Spicer, Jr., pastor of the First Methodist Church of Bunnell, officiated. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery in St. Augustine at 3 o'clock.

Craig Funeral Home of Bunnell was in charge of arrangements.
