Walter Karis, who resided on State Highway 100 just west of Bunnell, died Monday in Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach from heart disease. He was 72 years of age.

He, with Mrs. Karis, came to Bunnell from Detroit about two years ago and bought the residence and business formerly owned by James Croscin.

Funeral services will be at 9 o'clock Friday morning from St. Paul's Catholic Church in Daytona Beach, and burial will be made at Cedar Hill Cemetery there with Baggett-McIntosh in charge. .

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. T. Karis of Bunnell; two daughters, Mrs. Laura Sterring of Detroit, and Mrs. R. E. Goodman of Flagler Beach; three step-sons, Arthur Ellen, James and Walter Burns of Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. W. Winkler of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. M. Rutkowski of Buffalo, N. Y. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren.

Pallbearers are S. Siarkowski, Stanley Gorecki, B. Trojan, Theodore Piechocinski, Mr. Kosidlo, and Mrs. Kocinski.
