Miss Rose Kelly, who was at one time principal of the Gilbert School in the St. Johns Park section of this county, died in the Halifax District Hospital in Daytona Beach about noon today after a lingering illness.

Miss Kelly was a native of Indiana but had been living in Florida 12 years, maintaining her residence at Port Orange and Daytona Beach.

Surviving her are her father, W. W. Kelly, one brother, Ernest, and two nieces, Pauline and Danna, all of Port Orange. Miss Pauline Kelly is now teaching at Gilbert School.

Tentative arrangements call for services to be held Saturday afternoon at three-thirty at Baggett-Wetherby Funeral Home in Daytona Beach and consignment of the body in Cedar Hill Cemetery in the afternoon.
