Grover Cleveland Kendall, 56-year-old resident of the Haw Creek section of Flagler County, died at his home there at noon Sunday, February 28, following a heart attack.

Mr. Kendall had been confined to his bed for a week suffering an attack of influenza, but was recovering until he suffered the heart attack Sunday morning.

Mr. Kendall was a native of Columbus, Indiana, but had lived in Flagler County for the past 27 years, owning and operating a farm in the Haw Creek section.

He was a member of the Methodist Church, and had served as steward of the Centenary Church for a number of years.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 Monday afternoon in the Carl Davis and Son Funeral Chapel in Palatka, with Rev. W. T. Brantley, pastor of the local Methodist churches, in charge. The body was forwarded Monday evening to Flat Rock, Indiana where burial services will be completed. His widow and brother, John Kendall, accompanied the body to Flat Rock.

Survivors include his widow, Hattie Kendall; two brothers, John Kendall of Bunnell and L. H. Kendall of In­dianapolis, Indiana; three sisters, Mrs. Ona Thompson, of Atti, Ind.; Mrs. Rose Synder and Mrs. Ida Hilt, both of Indianapolis, Indiana.
