Former State Senator Peter Kendrick, 79, died at his home in St. Augustine Saturday, January 3.

He was born in Liverpool, England, and came to this country when he was about 21 years old.

He had lived in Florida since 1912, coming from Salt Lake City, Utah. He was head of the Peter Kendrick Engineering Company and a past president of Florida Engineering Society. He was a Mason. Kendrick had served in both the House of Representatives and the State Senate, representing the 31st district composing St. Johns and Flagler counties..

He is survived by his widow and four sons, Maj. George Kendrick of Fort Oglethorpe, W. P. Kendrick, A. G. Kendrick and P. A. Kendrick, all of St. Augustine.
