Mrs. Mary M. O'Connor, 85, 27 Casper Dr., Palm Coast, died Wed., Feb. 11, at Ormond Beach Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. O'Connor was born in New York City and had been a resident of Palm Coast for the past 16 months, moving there from Freehold, N. J.

She was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church, Ormond Beach She is survived by four daughters including Mrs. Dorothea Griffin of Palm Coast; one son one brother, one sister 19 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. .

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Brendan’s Catholic Church, Dale Woodward Ormond Beach was in charge.

Funeral mass for Mary Magdalene O'Connor, 85, Palm Coast, who died Feb. 11 at Ormond Memorial Hospital, was celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Cody, pastor of Santa Maria del Mar; Rev. Michael Flynn, pastor of St. Brendan’s; and Msgr. Leo Gildae, Palm Coast at St. Brendan’s Catho1ic Church at Ormond Beach Feb. 14. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery at Korona. .

A prayer and rosary ceremony was conducted Feb. 13 in the Dale Woodward Funeral Home Chapel, with members of the Palm Coast Catholic Women's Guild participating. . Mrs. O'Connor, was a native of New York City; and prior to moving to Florida 5 years ago, she made her home with her four daughters at Long Island, Atlanta and New Jersey. The past 1 ½ years she resided at the Ormond Hotel.

Survivors include her children Mrs. Dorothea Griffin, Palm Coast; Mrs. Stanley Krowles, Mrs. Joseph Ayers, Mrs. Joseph McLoon, and George L. O'Connor, Jr.; one brother, Francis Korber; and one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Raub; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. O'Connor was a schoolteacher by profession and held an office in the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary.
