Luther Grady Lane, Sr., 74, Flagler Beach, died Wednesday afternoon at Bunnell General Hospital.

Born in Winston County, Alabama, he moved to Flagler Beach 4 years ago from Calera, Alabama. He was a retired grocer. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Vernie; a step-daughter, Peggy S. Garrett, Flagler Beach; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Brown, Bessemer, Ala.; two sons, R. L. Lane and Luther G. Lane, Jr., both of Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, Ted Lane, Birmingham, Ala., and Norman Lane, Espanola; two sisters, Mrs. Herschel Cross, Birmingham; and Mrs. Sherman Glover, Espanola; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Friday at Browns’ Funeral Home, Bessemer, Alabama. Burial followed at Bessemer.

Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge of arrangements.
