David W. Lewis, 26, 200 North Anderson Street, Bunnell, was accidentally electrocuted early Saturday morning while working on a dredge at the ITT-Levitt Development site in northeast Flagler County.

According to the sheriff's department Lewis was apparently killed instantly when he reportedly slipped and fell into a portable generator on the dredge.

Lewis was born in Saint Augustine and was a lifelong, resident of Flagler County. He was a member of. Flagler County Cattlemen's, Association and Bunnell First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his father, Clyde, Bunnell; three children, Raymond 6, Donald 4,and Kimberly 2; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Grimes, St. Augustine; two sisters, Mrs. Judith Parks, Summerset, Ky.; and Mrs. Helen Heyder, Miami.

Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 in the First Baptist Church of Bunnell with Rev. Donald Foster officiating. Interment was at Espanola Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Paul Mercer, Richard Yelvington, Mack Yelvington, Flynn Ed­monson, Lamar Knight and Donald Harvey. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Sparkman, Gaston Boyett, Myrl Henry, Mitchell Henry and Bert Harding.

Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge.
