Mrs. E. A. Douglass, mother of A. M. McDaniel, former resident of Bunnell, but now residing in Hastings, died in DeLand last Thursday following an illness of two months.

Mrs. Douglass was 80 years of age and a native of Lake County but lived most of her life in Sanford. Nineteen years ago she moved with her husband to Lake Mary where she acted as postmaster for a number of years.

Mrs. Douglass was a member of the Sanford First Methodist Chinch, was a former state recording secretary of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, a past president of the Sanford Woman's Club and a life secretary of the Class of 1887 of Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, where she received her BA and Music Degrees. She was also a member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution.

She is survived by her husband of Lake Mary; two daughters, Mrs. Bob Lenox of DeLand and Mrs. B. J. Sturman of Atlanta; two sons, A. M. McDaniel of Hastings, and L. P. McDaniel of Atlanta.
