Mr. R. S. Brunson, agent for the Florida East Coast Railway here, left Tuesday afternoon for Greelyville, South Carolina, after receiving a message that his mother, Mrs. Mary McCauly, was seriously ill, her death occurring before Mr. Brunson reached his destination.

Mrs. McCauly was 84 years old and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. T. E. Allen of Greelyville, and Mrs. Georgia Bradford of Sumpter, S. C.; and two sons, R. S. Brunson, of this place and Hamilton Brunson, of Perry Florida.

The Brunson family is one of the oldest families of South Carolina and they have maintained their homes in Greelyville for many years.
