Wade H. McKenzie, merchant and business man of Bunnell for many years, died at the East Coast Hospital in St. Augustine early Wednesday morning following a long illness.

Mr. McKenzie was born in Dillon, S. C., and had lived here for about 40 years. He owned and operated the Bunnell Mercantile Company for many years, and had been retired about 15 years. He was 80 years of age. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and the local Masonic lodge.

Mr. McKenzie, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. H. C. Long of Green Cove Springs and Mrs. J. O. White of New Smyrna Beach; one son D. M. McKenzie of Lake Wales; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Richardson, Latta, S. C.; and Mrs. Sally Hamilton, Dillon, S. C.; one brother, S. A. McKenzie, Mullins, S. C.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the First Methodist Church of Bunnell at 3 o'clock this af­ternoon (Thursday). Rev. L. E. Watkins, will officiate and will be assisted by Dr. E. W. Ware. Interment will be in the Espanola Cemetery.
