Lee McLendon, 24-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. McLendon, died last Friday evening 9:45 in Glendale Hospital at Palatka after a short illness.

He had been in poor health for several months, suffering from a stomach ailment but had been able to work. He suddenly became worse on Sunday previous to his death and was taken to the hospital where every effort was made, including two blood transfusions, to save his life.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora Lee McLendon of Palatka, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. McLendon of Bunnell; four sisters, Mrs. Nettie Dood and Miss Beulah McLendon of Palatka, and Edith and Pearl of Bunnell; three brothers, Floyd of Jacksonville, Curtis and Virgil of Bunnell.

Funeral services were held at the Carl Davis Funeral home in Palatka Sunday afternoon with Rev. J. S. Taylor, pastor of the First Baptist church of Bunnell and Rev. Albert Sawyer, pastor of a Baptist church of Palatka, officiating.

Burial was made in Oak Hill Cemetery in Palatka.

Mr. McLendon was a former resident of Bunnell, having been employed for some time at Whitaker's Dairy. He moved to Palatka several months ago and was an employee of Merril's Dairy there.
