Joseph Michon of Bunnell died in the local hospital early Tuesday morning following an illness of several months.

Mr. Michon was a native of Poland and came to the United States in 1906 and settled in Detroit where he lived until 1922. He came to Flagler County 36 years ago and was engaged in the farming business for many years. For the past 10 years he has made his home in Bunnell with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stanish. He was 76 years of age.

Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock this morning (Thursday) from the St. Stephens Catholic Church with Father Smith officiating. Interment will follow in San Lorenzo Catholic Cemetery in St. Augustine.

The Rosary was said at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening at the Craig Funeral Chapel.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Paul Stanish and Mrs. Charles Gies, Bunnell; Mrs. Anna Wojciechowski and Mrs. Mary Pietrzyk of Detroit, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Polly Walas, and one brother, Mike Michon, both of Detroit.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Jerry Slovak, Steve Cyzycki, Stanley Smigielski, Dewey Moody, Tom Holden, and Frank Mercer.
