Funeral services for Fred Benson Miller, Sr., former Flagler County resident, were held in the Chapel of Hardage-Krauss Southside Funeral Home with Dr. Malcolm B. Knight, officiating. Burial was at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Mr. Miller died Friday after a brief illness.

He was a native of Georgia, and moved to Jacksonville from Lake City in 1933. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Bunnell Masonic Lodge No. 200 F&AM. He was a veteran of WW I and attended Bailey Military Academy and Mercer University.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Miller; a son, Fred B. Miller, Jr., both of Jacksonville;  five sisters, Mrs. Bertie May Ledford, St. Petersburg, Mrs. India Bailey, Jackson, Ga., Mrs. Ida Rogers and Mrs. Amanda Johnson, both of Gainesville, Ga., and Mrs. Lilly Miller of Clermont, GA; a brother, Charles Miller of Bunnell; three grandchildren, Trudi Miller, Paige Miller, and Brynne Miller, and several nieces and nephews.
