Homer C. Miller, former resident of Bunnell, passed away early Monday morning at his home, 802 North Halifax, Daytona Beach, after a brief illness. Mr. Miller was born in Clermont, Ga. where he resided until he came to Flagler County in 1921. He resided in Bunnell and was engaged in the farming and dairy business in the Bimini area until his retirement about 12 years ago. Since that time he and Mrs. Miller have resided in Daytona Beach.

He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion, 40 & 8, Elks Lodge, the Masonic Lodge, and the Concord Baptist Church of Clermont, Ga. For many years he served as a member of the Flagler County Draft Board, was president of the Production Credit Association, and was active in the civic, fraternal and church life of Bunnell. He was 73 years of age.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ora Miller of Daytona Beach; six sisters, Mrs. India Miller, Bailey, Jackson, Ga.; Mrs. D. J. Johnson, Sr., and Mrs. Ida Rogers both of Gainesville, Ga.; Mrs. Lily Whitaker, Caryville, Florida; Mrs. William Baker of Clearwater, Florida; Mrs. Wayne Ledford, Coshocton, Ohio; four brothers, John T. Miller, Jasper, Florida; Fred B. Miller, Sr., Jacksonville;. C. M. Miller, Bunnell; and Edwin Miller of Jefferson, Georgia. Also surviving are a number of neices, nephews, great neices and great nephews.

A chapel service was held Tuesday afternoon at the Baggett Funeral Home in Daytona Beach. Rev. William F. Shuler, pastor of the Riverside Presbyterian Church, officiated.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday) from the Concord Baptist Church in Clermont, Ga. Dr., Warner Fussell, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Gainesville, Ga., and Rev. Grover Tyner, pastor of the Concord Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the family lot there.

Honorary pallbearers for the chapel service were: Chares E. Creal, O. F. Alford, Tom Holden, John C. Rice, H. T. Cook, M. B. Fuller, George Upchurch, Harold Wilson, A. F. Gregory, Albert L. May, Charles Warner; and Tom Nouragas.
