Mrs. Ethel Newsome, mother of Mrs. Clifford McGriff of Bunnell, passed away Monday afternoon in Starke at the Tyrus Nursing Home. She had been a patient there for the past five years. She was 52 years of age.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Jones-Johnson Funeral Chapel in Gainesville.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey Newsome, of Gainesville. Also, three daughters and two sons.
