Jerome "Jerry" O’Brien, 60, West Moody Blvd., Bunnell, died Saturday morning from injuries sustained in an automobile accident early Saturday morning on US-1, two miles south of Bunnell. He became the second traffic fatality in the county.

Born in Buffalo, N. Y. he moved to Bunnell eight months ago from Adelphi, Md. He was a retired cable splicer for the C & P Telephone Co. He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Survivors include two sons; two sisters; two brothers; and six grandchildren.

Rosary services were held Monday evening at 7 at Craig Funeral Home Chapel, Bunnell. Rev. Fr. Anthony Leon officiated. Mass and interment were held Thursday in Arlington, Va.

Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge of local arrangements.
