Mrs. W. A. Hamilton, mother of Mrs. W. H. Wells of Bunnell, died at her home on Raiford St. in Jacksonville last Friday morning, July 12, following an illness of several years.

Mrs. Hamilton, who was 77 years of age the day before her death, was born in Odum, Ga. but had been a resident of Florida for about 50 years. She had resided in Jacksonville for 28 years. Her husband died in Jacksonville on June 17, 1944.

She is survived by five daughters and one son who mourn her death. They are Mrs. W. H. Wells of Bunnell; Mrs. J. P. Cunningham and Mrs. M. P. McInarney of Jacksonville; Mrs. Willie Louisiana, Titusville; Mrs. Wessie Kearns, Vero Beach; and I. O. Hamilton of Pearson, Georgia. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and five great­grandchildren.

A short funeral service was held at nine o'clock Sunday morning at the family residence in Jacksonville with Rev. L. J. Oliver officiating. From there the remains were carried to Odum, Ga., where funeral, services and interment were held at 3 o'clock in the Pine Grove Cemetery with Rev. T. J. Giddens officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were Isham Floyd, Grady King, Isham Fields, J. B. Robinson, Tom Ogden and W. T. Fields, who were her nephews.
