R. E. Owens, father of Hobert Owens of Flagler Beach, passed away in Lanett, Alabama, last Thursday following a long illness. He was 87 years of age.

Funeral services were held from the Harreton Heights Methodist Church on Friday afternoon. Interment followed at the Rest Haven Cemetery there.

Mr. and Mrs. Owens and family went to Lanett for the funeral services, returning home Monday.
