Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Tampa for Mrs. Sankey Moody Owings who died at the home of her son-inlaw and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Taylor, Thursday evening.
Mrs. Owings, who was 77 years of age, was a native of Lethia, Florida, and had lived in Cedar Keys since 1927. She had made her home here with Mr. and Mrs. Taylor for the past seven months.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. DeWitt Taylor; two grandsons, Robert and Melvin Taylor of Bunnell; one sister, Mrs. Louise Ranson of Tampa; three neices of Tampa and one nephew of Brandon.
Funeral services were held at Reed Funeral Home in Tampa and interment was in Pellot Cemetery in Lethia. Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine was in charge of arrangements.
