THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, December 4, 1941

A 1935 model Ford automobile left U. S. Highway No.1, about 1 mile south of Bunnell this morning at 3:30, turned over twice, killing one occupant while the other escaped injury.

The dead man is Frederick Joseph Peters, 32 years of age and whose address on his auto driver’s license is 86 Seymour Ave., Derby, Ky. The other occupant is A. Kennedy of Cimarron Ranch, Peekskill, N. Y.

Both men were enroute to New Smyrna Beach where they were to be employed on the Indian River Ranch.

State Highway Patrolman C. C. Durrance investigated the accident and said it was caused from a front spring on the automobile breaking and locking the left front wheel. He said Peters was thrown out of the car, but apparently was killed from head injuries received when he struck the door on his side of the car when it turned over.

The body was sent to New Smyrna in an ambulance. Kennedy also went on to New Smyrna.
