Jasper Newton Pettigrew, 54 years of age, was found in his apartment in the Novak Building about two o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The Sheriff's office was notified and Dr. James Dailey was called who said the man had died in his sleep and had been dead about 10 hours.

He had resided here for several months and was employed as night attendant at the Universal Car Service. He was a native of' New York State.

Only known survivors at press time are a son, George Pettigrew, and a daughter, Mrs. Wyaut of Danawanda, N. Y.

Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine is in charge of funeral arrangements.
