Clifford K. Phelps of Grand Haven, Michigan, died early Sunday morning in the local hospital.

He had suffered a heart attack while vacationing in Florida and was admitted to the local hospital where he received medical treatment for five weeks. He was discharged from the hospital about two weeks ago and was convalescing at 903 East Lambert. He suffered another attack about 1 o’clock Sunday morning and died a short time after being admitted to the hospital.

Mr. Phelps was a Quality Tool inspector by trade and was retired. He was a member of the Catholic Church and was 66 years of age.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Grand Haven; one son, Leonard Phelps of Fernandina Beach, Florida; one brother, Carl Phelps of Saginaw, Mich. Also surviving are two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning from St. Patrick Catholic Church in Grand Haven. Interment will follow at Lake Forest Cemetery in that city.
