Morris Rees, old-time friend of Dr. and Mrs. D. B. Brown died at his home at Pemberville, Ohio, Monday, August 31 after a short Illness.

Mr. Rees was well known and admired for his many lovable traits. He and Mrs. Rees regularly spent the winters here.

The following was clipped from his hometown paper, the Pemberville Leader:

“Capt. Morris Rees died at his home on Monday morning at 11 o'clock, after a few days illness from stomach and heart trouble. Although it was known that Rees' condition was considered dangerous, and he was under the care of a graduate nurse, yet his family did not think the end was so near. He died on his 86th birthday.

The funeral was held from his late residence on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. E. E. Gilpin, of the Methodist church, officiated.  Internment was in the cemetery at Bradner."

Mr. Rees' visits to Bunnell each year were looked forward to by his many friends and acquaintances here, which extend to his bereaved wife and children their sincere sympathy.
