THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
	        Bunnell, Florida
	        Thursday, November 13, 1952

William M. Rees, 81, was found dead this morning by neighbors after M. H. Parker, rural mail carrier noticed that his mail had not been removed from the box yesterday.
Neighbors called Sheriff W. H. Wells who went to the home in the St. Johns Park section together with Dr. John Canakaris, who said the Mr. Rees had probably been dead since Monday, apparently dying from a heart attack.
He was last seen by David Holland, nearest neighbor, who took him home from Bunnell Monday morning, Mr. Rees telling David that "I don’t feel very well."
He was found in the dining room of his home where he lived alone since his wife died several years ago. On the table was an unfinished cup of coffee. It was surmised that he started drinking the coffee, had the attack and fell to the floor where he was found. Sheriff Wells said no inquest would be held.
He was a native of Swansea, Wales, but came to America at an early age, where he worked in the steel industry at Aliquippa, Pa. He came to Flagler County 26 years ago, and farmed for a number of years before his retirement.
He was a member of Nelson Lodge No.3 of Masons in Wheeling W. Va. He also had received the 33rd degree (Scottish Rite). He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Green, Bunnell, and Mrs. Mary McClarey, Beaver, Pa.; two sons, George E. of Elwood, Ind., and Thomas of Long Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The body was placed in charge of Garcia Funeral Home, St. Augustine, but funeral arrangements have not been completed.
