Three-year old Harry Revalese of East Hartford, Conn., was instantly killed about 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon on North AlA in front of the Beachcomber filling station and gift shop.
According to reports from the sheriff's office, the child was traveling with his mother, Mrs. Violet Revalese, his sister, Janet, an aunt, Mrs. Marie DeScause, and a friend, Miss Margaret Atticks, all of East Hartford.
The party had stopped for gas and were in the gift shop when the child asked permission to go across the highway to see the ocean and was told no. Moments later they heard the impact and saw the body of the child.
Driver of the car was Ernest DeJonge of Holland, Mich., who was held on a technical charge of manslaughter and will appear in Judge Duane Deen's court this morning at 10 o'clock. Another passenger in the car was Mrs. DeJonge. The couple was honeymooning in Florida.
