Fred A. Rich, a resident of Flagler County since .1913, died suddenly at the Flagler County Courthouse Friday morning about 10:30. Mr. Rich was attending a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners and had just finished addressing the board and returned to his chair when he suffered a heart attack and died instantly.

Mr. Rich was a native of Spruce, Mo., and with his family he moved to Bunnell in 1913 and since resided here. He was for many years a real estate dealer and at one time served as Justice of the Peace.

He was active in the Woodmen of the World, the Royal Neighbors of America. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, but had attended the Bunnell Methodist Church since moving here. He was 84 years of age.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. F. A. Rich of Bunnell; one daughter, Mrs. Lora Harris of St. Augustine, and one son, Chester Rich of Boise, Idaho; two grandchildren, Mrs. Herbert Allen of Bunnell and Chester Alex McKenzie of Owensboro, Ky. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Baggett-McIntosh Chapel in Daytona Beach Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. L. E. Watkins, pastor of the Bunnell Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Daytona Beach.

Pallbearers were Henry Wells, George Moody, Jr., Phillip Edmonson, D. D. Moody, T. K. McKnight and Virgil Decker.
