Z. W. Richardson, known here and in other parts of Florida as "Uncle Dick," died in a hospital in St. Augustine early Monday morning after an illness of many months duration. However he was not confined to his bed but a few days before his death.

Mr. Richardson was born in North Carolina, removing to Georgia when a small boy and then coming to this section of Florida when a young man. He operated a turpentine plant here for many years, and was engaged in the cross tie industry also for some time. He was at one time deputy state game warden in 'this territory also.

Surviving are his widow; and one child, Mrs. D. D. Moody; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Watson and Mrs. R. W. Deen; two brothers, T. T. and C. R, all of whom live here except C. R Richardson, who is a resident of St. Augustine. He also has a number of relatives living in Appling County, Georgia.

The body was turned over to The Craig Funeral Horne of St. Augustine and was brought to Bunnell Tuesday where funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church, Rev. John B. Culpepper, Jr., conducting the service with Rev. J. M. DeVette, assisting.

Burial was made at Espanola Cemetery at four-thirty o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
