Noah James Ridgway, State Board of Health Sanitarian with the Flagler County Health Department, died in a Jacksonville hospital Friday after a brief illness.

Mr. Ridgway, who was 52 years of age, had been with the Flagler County Health Department since July of 1955. He was also a sanitarian in Putnam County.  He was a native of Canon, Georgia and had worked in Georgia as a sanitarian for many years before moving to Florida.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sarah Ridgway, Jacksonville; one daughter, Mrs. Jane Hollingworth, Savannah, Ga.; two sons, Noah Dixon Ridgway and James Nelson Ridgway of Atlanta, Ga. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment were held in Canon, Ga., on Sunday.
