Mrs. Dora Alford, wife of O. F. Alford of Bunnell, died at the family home here this morning at nine o'clock following a lengthy illness.

Although her health had been failing for the past three years, her condition had been considered serious only for the past year, she spending most of that time in hospitals.

Mrs. Alford, who was 44 years of age, was a native of Welborn, Florida, but had been a resident of Bunnell since 1927. She was a member of the school faculty for three years before her marriage.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, The Parent Teacher Association, and The American Legion Auxiliary, and took an active part in each organization until her health began to fail.

Mrs. Alford is survived by her husband, O. F. Alford, and two sons, Lanny and Donny, all of Bunnell. Also surviving are her parents, W. L. Rogers of Lake City and Mrs. W. L. Rogers of Jacksonville; two sisters, Mrs. R. N. Miller of Labelle, and Mrs. W. A. Overstreet of Miami; four brothers, W. R. Rogers of Welborn; James Rogers of Baldwin; Lonzo Rogers and Armand Rogers of Jacksonville. Several neices and nephews also survive. .

Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church here at two o'clock Monday afternoon, with Rev. John M. Dickson officiating. The body will be at the church from 1:30 until the funeral hour.

Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, with Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine in charge of arrangements.
