William B. Ryan, member of Ryan Brothers Furniture Company, 41, a prominent business man of Palatka, committed suicide early Tuesday morning at the company's warehouse by firing a revolver shot through his heart, according to advices reaching here Tuesday afternoon.

Although the time of the suicide was established at some time about nine o'clock the body, which was concealed from view in the back of the warehouse, was not found until about 11:30 when B. P. Eddie, connected with the firm, found the body lying face downward upon the floor, the gun, with which its is supposed he ended his life, was under the prone figure.

No motive could be ascribed for the act, except the fact that he had been in ill health for the last two years, About a year ago he suffered a nervous breakdown, and the supposition is that he has recently felt that another attack, .similar to that suffered the year before was coming upon him again, and that it had preyed upon his mind to such an extent that it caused him to take his life rather than go through with it again. His financial affairs were in good shape and his domestic life extremely happy, it was reported.

He is survived by his wife and three children, William, Martha Lee, and Robert, one brother, C. B. Ryan of Palatka and by one sister, Mrs. A. B. Mahoney of Sanford.
