Edward C. Salyerds, 73, of Pensacola died Saturday morning in a Pensacola hospital. He was the brother of Henry Salyerds, Bimini.

Mr. Salyerds, a native of Akron, Ohio, resided in Bunnell several years before moving to Pensacola 34 years ago. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and was a Methodist Church Board member for 34 years. He was a retired Civil Service employee at Pensacola Naval Air Station, member of the Exchange Club and the Fort Hawkins Masonic Lodge, Macon, Ga.

He is survived ,by his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Varckaman Salyerds, Pensacola; ,a daughter, Mrs. Anne Salyerds Francisco, New Haven, Conn.; .two brothers, Henry Salyerds, Bunnell and John Salyerds, Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Baker, Akron, Ohio and Mrs. Carolyn Buckles, San Mateo, Fla. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:00 at the Pensacola First Methodist Church.
