Henry. Salyerds, 85, St. Johns Park, well known pioneer resident of Flagler County, died Monday at Bunnell General Hospital. A native of Akron, Ohio he moved to Flagler County 69 years ago from there. He had lived in the St. Johns Park area for the past 60 years. He was a retired farmer and a Board of Directors of Federal Land Bank Assoc. for 57 years.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Annie Salyerds; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Hardin, Bunnell; two sons, Thomas, Bunnell, and James, Daytona Beach; one sister, Mrs. Caroline Buckles, Shell Bluff; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Bunnell Civic Center with Joe Crane and Franklin Dodson, officiating. Burial will be in Espanola Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Nobel Lee, George Byba, Bob Baker, Walter Raudenbush, Theodore Tedors and Richard Baseman. Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, is in charge.
