Arlidge E. (Mike) Shamblen of the St. Johns Park area died Saturday evening at the Bunnell General Hospital' following a long illness.

He was a native of Charleston W. V., moving here to reside about 20 years ago. He was a retired painter. He was 74 years of age.

He is survived by two daughters, Norine Brannan, Bunnell, and Opal Fields of Charleston, W. Va.; a son, Earl Shamblen, Charleston, W. Va. Also surviving are two brothers, Rudye Shamblen, Bunnell, and Dr. Earl Shamblen of Charleston, W. Va. Graveside funeral services were held at 2:30 Monday afternoon at the Espanola Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Pinner of the First Baptist Church officiating.

Pallbearers were Cordel Robertson, Lloyd Robertson, Rudye I. Shamblen, George Shamblen, Jr., Bill Cobb, and Frank Steflik.

Arrangements were under the direction of Craig Funeral Home of Bunnell.
