Merdic L. Shows, 52, resi­dent of North A-l-A, passed away Friday in the Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville where he had been a patient the past month. .

Mr. Shows was the owner land operator of the Towncienda Motel and Bing's Fisherman’s Resort.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Geraldine:; four sisters, Mrs. Sam Schneider, Jacksonville; Mrs. R. W. Symonds, Kittery, Maine; Mrs. Elbert Jones, Jacksonville; Mrs. Montiel Bradford, Jacksonville; and two brothers, Joe W., Fayetteville, N. C. and William G., Tokyo,. Japan.

Services were held at the Glendale Community Church in Jacksonville Monday, De­cember 26th with Rev. Gordon Elliott officiating.

Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville.
