THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, March 27, 1924

Bunnell was grief stricken Friday when the sad news reached here of the death of little Carolyn Elizabeth Smith, the seven-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Smith of' Tampa, formerly of Bunnell.

The little one died after several weeks’ illness due to measles, developing into complications which made it impossible for the little child to live.

The body was shipped to Bunnell Sunday and interment was at Espanola Cemetery Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, the oration by Rev. H. E. Partridge was very touching. The handsome metallic casket was covered with beautiful floral pieces.

Many friends and acquaintances accompanied the sorrowing young couple to the cemetery where Rev. Partridge read the impressive burial service and after prayer all that was mortal of an innocent baby was consigned to its Heavenly home above.

The entire community extends their sympathy to the grief stricken parents in their great loss and hour of bereavement.
