Ferris Solomon, 49, who had been a mill supervisor for the former Wadsworth Lumber Mill of Bunnell, died of an apparent heart attack July 13 in a Columbus, Ga. hospital.

Born in Coffee County, Ga., he was resident manager of the St. Regis Paper Co. and moved to Columbus with that company two year ago. He formerly lived in Bainbridge, Ga.

Solomon was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell, the Morocco Temple of the Shriners Club and a member of Bunnell Lodge 200, F& AM.

Bearers were members of Morocco Temple of Jacksonville, Pete Maliniak, Al Lord, J.O. Douberly, Archie Bachelor, Jack Solomon and D. L. Solomon. Honorary bearers were St. Regis Paper Co. employees and Masons.

Survivors include his widow, Geneva Carver Solomon; a daughter; a son; a sister; a brother and a grandson.
