Word have been received here by Mrs. Wade Hancox, of the death of her uncle, Mr. George Spurlin of Decatur, Ga., and Lake Disston, Fla., on June 23 in Decatur. Mr. Spurlin owned the Lake Disston Lodge for many years and built a home at the lake after selling the lodge.  Survivors include his wide and several nieces.
