Mrs. Mardena Courson of DeLeon Springs, mother of Mrs. Virgil Decker of Bunnell, passed away Tuesday morning in a DeLand Nursing Home after a lingering illness. She was 75 years of age.
She and her late husband had resided in DeLeon Springs the past 43 years, coming there from Douglas, Georgia.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Virgil Decker of Bunnell; Mrs. Curtis Sapp, DeLeon Springs; and Mrs. Clinton Wilks, Orlando. Also surviving are two brothers, two sisters, four grandchildren and 10 great-grand children.
Funeral services will be this morning at 10:30 at the chapel of Allen-Summerhill, DeLand. Rev. J. Foster, pastor of the Stetson Baptist Church, DeLand, will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery there.
