Alexander George Thompson of Sanford, N. C., former resident of Flagler County, passed away in Jackson, Miss., on February 12 it was learned here this week.

Mr. Thompson resided in Espanola where he was engaged in the farming industry from 1921 to 1943. During the time he lived there he served several terms as county commissioner from District Five. After leaving Flagler County he resided in DeLand two years and then moved to Holly Hill where he resided until 1949.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mae Thompson of Sanford, N. C.; one son, Russell Thompson of Sanford, N. C.; one daughter, Mrs. H. G. Spence of Greensboro, N. C. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Raymond Weeks, Daytona Beach; one brother, J. E. Burnsed, Holly Hill, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Greensboro, N. C. at the Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
