J. R. Vickery, father of Mrs. G. L. Walker and Mrs. Dorothy Blackwell of Bunnell, died suddenly at 4 o'clock May 6, at Campville, Florida, where he was employed by Phifer Naval Stores Co. of Gainesville, Florida.

Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at Mr. Vickery's former home in Lenox, Ga., and burial was made in the family plot at the cemetery there. He is survived by his widow and seven daughters, Donnis, Drew Mae, Delores, Devonne of Campville; Mrs. G. L. Walker and Mrs. Dorothy Blackwell of Bunnell; and Mrs. P. W. Hawes of Parris Island, S. C.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Nancy Dora Walker, Reddick Russell Walker and Zora Kay Blackwell of Bunnell.

Mr. Vickery was a native of Georgia but had resided in Flagler County for several years, during which time he was employed by Strickland & Waters. Turpentine Co.
