Paul Richard Vogel, Sr., 79, of 204 North Central Ave., Flagler Beach, died October 15 after five weeks of illness at the Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach.

He was born in Raschau, Germany. He came to the United States in 1964 and became a citizen in 1967. Paul and Hannah were married June 11, 1916. After 48 years working in Chicago as a greeting card distributor, he moved to Flagler Beach 15 years ago. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Chicago.

Survivors include his wife, Hannah; two sons, Paul Jr., Park Ridge, Ill., and John Charles, Chicago; one brother, Heinz, Schwarzenberg, Germany and five grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p. m. October 18 at the Community Memorial Church, Flagler Beach, with Rev. R. W. Dickert, pastor officiating. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery, Ormond Beach.

Pallbearers were Gilbert Frank, Howard Wishaupt, Roy McNab, Emil Huber, Rufus Miller and Alfred Yuengling.
